Samsung Omnia Lite B7300
The Samsung Omnia Lite B7300 is as the name suggests, a more budget-oriented version of the Omnia II. While the hardware has had some of its features trimmed off, the software and more importantly the functionality are what you can expect from a Samsung smartphone.
Let’s start off with the screen. Understanding that the Omnia Lite B7300 is a more affordable version of the Omnia II, you can expect the screen to be a bit smaller. Don’t get me wrong, the 3 inch 240 x 400 pixel display isn’t small by any means, it just isn’t as large or vibrant as the Omnia II display.
With a 3 megapixel camera and an additional camera for video calls, the Omnia Lite isn’t lacking in the multimedia department. Since the Lite B7300 runs Windows Mobile 6.5, you expect the usual features that come with the Windows Mobile operating system. Along with the rest of the new Omnia phones, the Omnia Lite B7300 also comes with Samsung’s Touch Wiz 2.0 interface.
Just because the Omnia Lite is cheap, doesn’t mean Samsung needed to skimp on important features. Featuring microUSB support and a microSD slot, the proprietary ports found on the original Omnia are no longer a drawback for this smartphone. Other notable features found on this ‘cheap’ phone include quadband GSM/tri-band (non-US) 3G support, GPS, accelerometer, and a FM radio. The Samsung Omnia Lite B7300 doesn’t sound so bad after all, does it?
